The team at Deaconess Illinois Specialty Clinic Wound Care sees patients on Thursdays by appointment, but same-day appointments are usually available Monday through Friday if needed.
Please bring your medication lists, and any records related to prior treatments, to your appointment.
Insurance and Referrals
A doctor's referral is preferred, but not required. Please note, that some insurance providers do require a referral from your primary care physician for your to utilize our services.
Most insurance plans, including Medicare and Blue Cross, cover wound care. Check with your insurance provider to verify coverage. Patients with an HMO must have a referral from their primary care physician. Patients being treated for work-related injury must have a pre-approval from their employee's workers' compensation company.
