Amanda Throgmorton has been named the new Regional Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Deaconess Illinois. Amanda has been a dedicated and impactful member of the organization for 27 years, and her extensive experience and unwavering commitment to healthcare make her an exceptional fit for this role.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication to professional growth, earning her Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing and an MBA, all while working full-time and raising her two sons, Hunter and Colton.

Amanda’s journey at Heartland Regional includes roles as a nurse in the emergency department, Emergency Medical Services Coordinator, Disaster Management Coordinator, Emergency Department Manager and Director of Professional Outreach. In November 2021, she was named Market Director of Occupational Health, where she successfully increased service volume and built significant community partnerships.

Amanda’s deep-rooted connection to our community and her impressive leadership track record make her the ideal candidate to lead Deaconess Illinois in this role,” Deaconess Illinois Region President Will Davis said. “Her vision and dedication will further strengthen our healthcare services and enhance our commitment to providing exceptional care.”

Amanda said she is honored to take on the new role and continue serving the community that’s been her home and professional foundation.
